Slide Scanning

We use the MovieStuff Slide Stream for 35mm slides.

The "Slide Stream" is a modified Kodak projector that automatically indexes the slides and takes a digital photograph with a Canon Rebel XT digital camera.
8.0-megapixel CMOS sensor captures enough detail for photo-quality 16 x 22-inch prints.

We use a macro lens to enlarge the photograph to fill the entire sensor and a white even light behind the slide to illuminate it evenly.

We are able to transfer up to 140 slides under 14 minutes. This means low cost for you.

We ensure each and every slide is processed properly. Each slide is examined for proper color and exposure balance in the latest Photoshop CS program.

Then, each slide is numbered in the order you provided to us and burned to an archive quality CD or DVD.

We also offer up to 4800 dpi scanning of slides using a Canon 9950F flatbed scanner for your special images. This enables much deeper capture of the grain of the film. You can order that service here. We recommend getting your all of your slides archived with the Slide Stream method first, then pick out your best slides to get transferred at 4800 dpi. You may not even need to transfer them at that high of quality after you view your slides with the slide stream.

Photo Scanning

We understand that your photos are precious to you. And, we know you aren't looking at them as you intended to when you took them.

We offer scanning of your photographs, photo restoration, photo video albums and photo DVD slide shows.

Our process is simple. We clean your photographs off with compressed air, then scan them individually (or in groups) on a flat bed scanner - the Canon 9950F. We don't put your photos in an automaticly fed scanner that could eat your photos. Each one is gently handled.

After your images are digitized, each photograph is manually edited and reviewed in Photoshop for color and brightness. We will also remove large dust spots or small issues with your photos for free.

The next step is burning your memories onto an archive data CD or DVD. If you ordered a slide show, you will get one DVD for the slide show, and one DVD with your files.

If your photos require large reconstruction, then photo restoration is right for you.

If you need your photos taken out of a photo album, we charge a $35 fee for this service that is added to your invoice.
